For those who only used Siam Discovery as an air-con walkway to MBK, now there might be a reason for you to stop and actually have a look at what the mall has to offer.
After it closed for renovation exactly one year ago, Siam Discovery will reopen on May 28 under the concept “The Exploratorium” — a large lab for city folks to experiment with their styles.
The mall will organize products by a type of lifestyle, regardless of brands and categories, allowing customers to shop for what truly suits them without the attachment to a label.
Siam Piwat reportedly invested THB4 billion into Siam Discovery’s renovation.
“We’re building the first ‘lifestyle specialty store’. We want people to fall in love with the shopping experience, which will constantly change,” said Siam Piwat CEO Chadatip Chutrakul in a statement.
“We feel that Siam Discovery will be a place where people discover themselves again.”
While the mall has yet to reveal how exactly we will find our new identity by shopping, its slogan warns people to “expect the unexpected.”
