The Phuket News reports Thai-American singer Amita “Tata” Young married Chat-adul “Mor” Sinapongpipit yesterday in a quiet Phuket ceremony on the beach below the Sri Panwa hotel on Cape Panwa.
The couple had kept quiet about their relationship and wedding plans, though her personal manager said today they would hold a press conference and reception Thursday at the Oriental Residence at 2pm.
“I knew about a month ago about her wedding… Tata has been working all her life and gives happiness to everyone,” Tata associate Ben Chalatit told Thai Rath. “Now it’s time for her to be happy.”
Ben said it was a story of love long in the making.
“They have know each other since Tata was very young,” he explained. “Whatever happened in her life, Mor is the one who has always stood by her. Whenever she fell in love or broke up with someone, she would always ask for his suggestions, until they become good friends.
He delighted by the news.
“I’m so glad that she eventually agreed to spend the rest of her life with him.”
