Moving from its former downtown location at Emporium, Thailand Creative & Design Center (TCDC) reopens today at the 80-year-old vintage Grand Postal Building on Charoenkrung Road, with the objective to make the Old Town the city’s “creative district.”
Now covering 9,000 sqm., visitors can explore six functional zones including the revamp of the old Resource Center, which contains an extensive database of design materials. Meanwhile, the Exhibition Gallery is the functional space for creators to show off their finished products. Or, simply sit answer some emails or brainstorm in the Creative Co-working Space, which is equipped with a vending machine and game room for you to socialize and network with potential business partners.

Three new zones have also been introduced at the new location including the Creative Business Center. Do you want a new logo for your startup? The business center helps you to meet and connect with designers. MakerSpace is a functional room with a number of tools and specialists, facilitating entrepreneurs to turn their ideas into prototypes while the Material & Design Innovation Center is a library that displays various materials from all over the world, from fabric to tiles to leather and beyond.
Visitors can now experience the new TCDC for free until the end of May and the center is hosting a market and concerts all weekend to kick off their launch. Regular opening hours will be Tuesday – Sunday, 10.30am – 9pm. For more information, visit the center’s Facebook page.
