Any skate folks looking for an excuse to head to the beach?
In December, Hua Hin Skate Park will host a one-day event dubbed Old School Jam for skateboarders and surf skaters to see who can pull off the gnarliest carves, grinds and airs.
One thing that makes this competition unique is that skateboarders and surfskaters will be competing against each other to see whose style reigns supreme.
The competition is divided into two categories: grom (youth) and open.
Hua Hin-based DJs Murfy Lee and Vintega will spin some tunes to get everyone in the groove.

Apart from the competition, people can also take a surfing lesson or join a surf workshop at the Pineapple Surf Club on Khao Takiab Beach.
Old School Jam takes place on Dec. 10, which falls on a long weekend holiday, making it a perfect opportunity to get away from Bangkok for a few days of skating and fun by the beach.
Entry is free. More details will be available on Hua Hin Skate Park’s social media.
