Were there nothing else, Bangkok’s nightlife would remain the world’s envy. Welcoming all from distant lands or nearby sois, the party scene is always thriving and surviving, with everything from pop-anthem worship and degenerate underground beat-stomps to bawdy meat markets. Here are some different flavors of fun available tonight through the weekend:
FRIDAY

The fifth of its kind, Th4i Vol. 5 will feature a line-up of Thai DJs both veteran and amateur.
10pm, GLOW Nightclub, Sukhumvit Soi 23, THB300 includes one drink, free entry for women before midnight

Here’s a departure from your usual clubbing nights – JAM out with local bands playing rock, grunge, and ‘90s alternative music.
8pm, JAM, 41 Soi Rong Nam Kang (Sathorn), BTS Surasak, THB200 includes one drink

And then there’s a “usual clubbing night” featuring electronic dance music, oh but wait – live performances featuring bongos and vocals.
9pm, Dickinson’s Culture Cafe, Phra Arthit Road, free
SATURDAY
Wrong Disco @ Viva & Aviv The River

Party along the Chao Phraya River with the classic funk and signature disco vibes consistent to any Wrong Disco experience. Do try your best to stay on land as the night goes on.
5pm, Viva & Aviv The River, Charoen Krung Soi 30, free

There will be dubs and perhaps a wub or two at the new joint by the Evolver crew. Expect things to register low in the spectrum at Dickinson’s Cafe’s bass music night, with a buffet of hip-hop, drum & bass, and some bassline for good measure. Just in case it wasn’t clear, there will be a lot of bass.
10pm, Dickinson’s Culture Cafe, Phra Arthit Road, Free

We know Ku De Ta likes to see itself as the home of big rollers, and apparently that carries over into their marketing with “Ego Trip,” promising “Bangkok’s most elite DJs” Octo and Knatz. We’re not sure what that means, but if you like your dance from a much loftier perch than the underground, the trendy venue is worth a visit.
8pm, KU DÉ TA, 39th floor, Sathorn Square Building, Silom, free

We’re not sure even the most seasoned party-goers would want to stay in a pool for more than an hour and become shriveled prunes, but given the ongoing miserable heat combined with the arrival of monsoon fun-time, this eight-hour pool party might be the only thing in this world which still makes sense.
1pm, The Water Club, 10th Floor, Sofitel So, THB400 includes one drink
