The Thailand Tourism Forum 2012 will feature such heavy hitter speakers as William Heinecke, chairman and CEO of Minor International; Chanin Donavanik, CEO of Dusit International; and Bill Barnett, managing director of hotel consultancy C9 Hotelworks.
The one-day forum, organized by the American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand, is scheduled for Feb. 2 at the InterContinental Hotel in Bangkok.
“Brand Thailand” is the theme of the event, and participants will be discussing the tourist industry’s latest performance and what challenges lay ahead.
Tourism accounts for around 6 percent of Thailand’s GDP.
Heinecke’s Minor International operates Four Seasons, Marriot, Anantara, and St. Regis brand hotels in Thailand as well as Swensen’s, Sizzler, Dairy Queen, Burger King and The Coffee Club franchises.
Other notable speakers include Peter Henley, president and CEO of Onyx Hospitality & Hotels, and Robert V. R Hecker, managing director of hospitality consultant Horwath HTL
