Natcha on Film: Gay roommate chaos and haunted college party

Ms. Narcissus

With the Thai Short Film & Video Festival still going on until this Sunday, Ms. Narcissus will be shown tomorrow at the BACC. A film which focuses solely on one character throughout the film (hence the name). The plot of the story is told through the use of the Socialcam app which allows users to create short videos to share with the circle of friends. The short film is apparently really deep and should makes us stop and question what are we actually watching.

Screening Time – August 21, 3pm

I don’t understand how Thai films get their unique names or where they even start to brainstorming stuff like this.

But anyways Love Love You is a film centered around a homosexual couple who are still going to college. One of the pair moves out from home to a condo nearby the college campus and is forced to stay with a roommate. It turns out the roommate might also be gay, which of course causes total drama between the original couple. Hilarity ensues!

Pixels

Imagine every video game you played during your entire childhood. Yeah, each one is probably in this film.

I’m not sure what Hollywood was thinking when they made Pixels but it was probably along the lines of “Hey! Let’s just put every classic video game into a movie and see how it turns out!” The plot is something along the lines of aliens invading Earth through the devious use of video game characters.

Don’t bother with this crappy film.

Hitman: Agent 47

Probably the “biggest” film coming out this week…but it honestly looks horrible.

Hitman: Agent 47 focuses on the story of Agent 47 (duh) who is an elite assassin that was genetically engineered to be the ultimate killing machine with lighting fast reflexes and absolute strength. Agent 47 teams up with a young woman who holds the key to unlocking the secrets of his origins.

The trailer was extremely cheesy and definitely left a bad impression on me. Don’t trust me? Waste your money and find out!

Exeter

This trash-tier film looks like it’s actually a good movie…to watch with a group of friends and laugh at.

Exeter tells the tale of a bunch of college students having a huge party at a haunted asylum where patients were known to be horribly treated. (Sounds like a good idea right?) Things start to go wrong when they realize that they shouldn’t have been partying there in the first place and everyone starts to get possessed one by one.

Why would anyone want to hold a party in an abandoned asylum in the first place?
