More Morlum: Party with the hot foreign morlum singers who broke the internet

For those who remain impressed with the two foreign morlum singers in yesterday’s viral video, we found them for you. Their band, “Diesel,” plays six nights a week until July 2 at Spasso Bar, Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel.

Mimi Rom, the lead singer from Sweden, said their performances usually start off with chill lounge music for guests to enjoy with their dinner. As the evening progresses, they go into full-on party mode with everything from rock classics, old school, Latin, pop and of course, morlum.

“I think morlum songs are very entertaining. They put a smile on your face as soon as you hear them and you just wanna get up and start to shake that ass, haha,” Mimi told Coconuts.

Diesel has currently mastered two morlum hit songs including the “Sao Leoi Yang Ror” (Loei girl is still waiting) and “Noom For Lor Fiew” (Young and handsome).

“The biggest challenge with these songs is to replicate that special nasal tone. And, of course, it is very difficult to get all the words right, since we do not speak Thai at all. But it’s all good fun!” Mimi said.

Just as long as Mimi and her singing buddy, Danita Pg, keep nailing the morlum songs and moves, we don’t think the Thai audience will mind their accents.

See Diesel perform live at Spasso Bar, Monday – Saturday, 10pm – 2am.
