Coconuts is rolling out an events and venues directory in our eight cities in Southeast Asia and Hong Kong and we’re thrilled to announce that as one of our most engaged audiences in the region, Bangkok is one of the first cities we’re starting with.
We’ve just soft launched our Coconuts Directory, poised to become the most comprehensive venue and event listing spaces the region has ever seen. From music festivals to indie art exhibitions and multi-course dinner deals with a view of the capital’s skyline, we will be keeping our readers up-to-date with what’s on.
Content will be user-generated, but curated by our team to maintain some good ol’ quality control.
First things first, we’re working on getting all sorts of venues in our system: Hotels, Restaurants, Recreation, Services, Shopping, Beauty & Wellness, Arts & Stage, Sports & Fitness, Nightlife.
As for events themselves, events can be linked to venues once they’re inputted into the Coconuts Directory. We’re allowing event submissions across five categories:
1) Food & Drink
2) Creative
3) Community
4) Shopping & Services
5) Nightlife
Our directory won’t be dominated by advertisements and won’t be limited to only venues with big marketing budgets. We’re keeping it real: all posting on the directory is FREE and open to the public, but of course we will reserve the right to set community standards.
