Close family and friends of late television star Thridsadee “Por” Sahawong said their final goodbyes to him yesterday as they floated his ashes in the sea.
Por’s fans from Bangkok and Chon Buri came to the port at Sattahip naval base to pay their respects as the actor’s relatives took a boat out to sea, Thai PBS reported.

The family were taken out about two miles to sea by the Royal Thai Navy. A chaplain performed a religious ceremony before a container of Por’s ashes was floated out to sea.
Por died after two months battling complications developed from the dengue virus, at the age of 37.
