A regular trance festival is spinning off an unlikely event combining sports and trance music.

The Unkonscious music festival announced last night that it will launch Knock Out, marketed as the “World’s First Muay Thai Stadium rave event” on Feb. 3, one day after the end of its annual outing.

The party will take place at Bangkok’s New Lumpinee Boxing Stadium and aims at no less than transforming the boxing ring into a dancefloor.

Organizers teased six international trance DJs to be announced at a later date.

Unkonscious, billed as Asia’s biggest trance music festival, made its return earlier this year at Pattaya’s Alexa Beach Club following a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19. Its next iteration will also take place there Feb. 1-2, just before the stadium rave.

There will also be an after party in Bangkok on Feb. 4.
