At last there’s something to look forward to by the end of 2020.
With the pandemic in remission at home, the annual outdoor E-San Music Festival announced it’s still on come the cool season at the northeastern region’s largest reservoir.
The festival, which has been dubbed the Khon Kaen Woodstock, will feature nearly 70 acts on two big stages, live performances, parades, camping and more over three days and two nights.
Its 69 musical groups range from crowd-pleasing singer-songwriter Hugo and indie fave Yellow Fang, to folk-rockers Yena and Rasmee Isan Soul, a rising star from Ubon Ratchathani who mixes molam with soul and blues.
The festival will take place at the Ubolratana Dam, the largest multi-purpose dam in the northeast located in Khon Kaen’s Khok Sung district. Advance tickets are THB350 and THB550 there. More details will be announced online.
The year’s other major music festivals haven’t been canceled either. Both the Big Mountain and Wonderfruit festivals are still slated for December.
