Imagine Dragons Electrifies Impact Arena This August

Presented by

If your heart doesn’t start racing when an Imagine Dragons song comes on, you should go to a doctor, like immediately. If you don’t know what we’re talking about, you’re going to have the chance to find out soon. The adrenaline rushing American alt-rock band is coming to Bangkok for the first time on August 29.

As part of their Smoke + Mirrors tour, Imagine Dragons is stopping by Krung Thep to play a show at Impact Arena, Muang Thong Thani. One of the biggest names in the business right now, Imagine Dragons blew up after the 2012 release of “Night Visions.” You could say the band has been pretty busy since they got their start in 2009. Their single “Radioactive” won a Grammy Award. They’ve headlined more than 130 gigs. They’ve sold millions and millions of records. Now, they’re touring the globe playing their sophomore album “Smoke + Mirrors” leaving the world amped.

The latest album was inspired by the group’s life on the road, and it’s full of the same hook-laced songs we loved instantly from their first big release. There’s this dancey, dreamy quality to all of the band’s songs that is so catchy it hurts. “Bet My Life” is peppered with gospel-like shrieks and the heavy drum beats together will definitely make you spontaneously combust into dance. You’re in for the same with “Shots,” don’t say you weren’t warned.

One of the biggest perks of the show? The band becomes otherworldly during live shows. They feed off of the crowd and give back this insane energy you have to see to believe. All bets are off when they start playing “Demons,” things get seriously electric. You’re going to leave Impact Arena feeling crazy, crazy good that is. When you finally get home from the frenzy and go to sleep, you’re going to have “It’s Time” still playing in your head.
