Are the days just too hot to handle, Bangkok?
After Songkran festivities wrap up next month, those who want to keep it cool can experience a frosty sub zero at Ice Magic: Fantasy on Ice, a winter wonderland filled with piles of snow spanning 3,000sqm.
The event is billed as the “biggest pop-up winter playground” in Thailand.
The indoor snow park will feature a 300sqm skating rink, gigantic snow mound, skiing and snowboarding zones, and snow machines from the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics. It’s also a chance to see enthralling ice sculptures made by winning ice artists from the Harbin Ice Festival.
Ice Magic will run April 18 to July 16 at The Market Bangkok, a downtown shopping mall across from CentralwOrld on Ratchadamri Road.
Tickets are THB999 for adults, THB799 for children, and THB499 for seniors. Family packages are also available. Bookings can be made online.
Visitors are reminded they will be experiencing sub-zero temperatures, so dress warmly if you plan to stay long. A limited number of winter jackets and snowshoes will be available.
