Perfectly timed with International Women’s Day,

From March 8 – 15, thought-provoking shows, including exhibits, performances, wall paintings, screenings, talks and panels discussions, will be held for free at Bangkok Art and Cultural Centre (BACC). Some highlights include physical theater by B-Floor, a contemporary dance performance by New Cambodian Artists and photography showcases by Xyza Cruz Bacani from the Philippines and Johan Bävman from Sweden.

In addition, a film festival will be held at SF World Cinema on March 9 – 12, featuring seven award-winning international films and documentaries, which will be screened for free.

The selected movies deliver important messages about gender inequality and issues that millions of women and girls across the world endure daily including domestic violence, child marriage, honor killings, sexual harassment, and limited access to education and unsafe labor practices.

A booth for ticket collection located outside the theater will be open 30 minutes before the screening of every movie. All movies will be screened in their original languages with Thai and English subtitles as required.

HeForShe is a solidarity movement for gender equality developed by UN Women to engage men and boys as advocates and agents of change for the achievement of gender equality and women’s rights.
