It’s the only time of the year that you can put on an outrageous costume, show up in it at the office to scare the shit out of your colleagues and then go out to enter it in a contest and win some free drinks at a party.

Bangkok’s appetite for Halloween parties has hit a new with a dizzying number of wild and wilder options. Many venues will host a wide variety of activities from music-charged dance to delightful drag-queen shows, axe-throwing, a boat party and of course many costume contests. Some bars and restaurants are offering Halloween-themed menu items to celebrate the spooky season.

Halloween was a little muted the past few years following the October 2016 death of King Bhumibol and his cremation ceremony in October 2017.  Since it falls on a Thursday this year, some events have will start as early as Sunday while some are set to go off as much as two days after.
