A 70-year-old fangirl has made local media headlines after vowing to give THB1 million cash and a house to national heartthrob Jirayu “James” Tangsrisuk if he pays her a visit.
Grandma Tongbor Suwanchan, a Yasothorn native, flaunted her title deeds and asset documents to the press Tuesday and said that she would dole out some of her fortune to the 22-year-old soap actor if he comes to see her.
“If only I could see James in the flesh just once, I’d be happy to give him my assets and THB1 million cash as soon as I see his face,” Tongbor told Khaosod.
Tongbor said she has followed James’ works for over three years since he shot to fame in the lakorn “The Gentlemen of Juthathep.” She also collects magazines featuring photos of him.
But don’t get ahead of yourself yet, James. Tongbor, whose husband died several years ago, said her love for the actor is strictly platonic.
Tongbor said she would gladly transfer a 32,000 sq.m. empty land plot, a house with the title deed, five rental apartments, and another THB1 million cash to James once she meets him.
James, who is currently in Paris, released a video Tuesday to thank the grandma for loving his work. The star did not comment on the potential gifts.
“Hello, I’m in Paris right now. Heard about the grandma. I’m so honored that you like me and my lakorn. Everyone involved is very happy that you love the work we produced. I wish you all the happiness in life and good health. I will produce quality works for you,” James said in the video.
The fangirl responded that she was happy about the message – but she still wants to see him in person.
