Ghosts of Bangkok past superimposed onto city of today (PHOTOS)

Women sport fashionable panung on the Memorial Bridge while a 19th century man poses beside the Wat Phra Kaew of today in a composite of old and rare photos stitched into their contemporary settings.

Recreating angles and vantage points and wielding the magic of Photoshop, people have recently made an online thing out of posting photos featuring people and sites from decades and centuries past reframed in the present.

A number of images result from strategic use of Google Street View to find the correct vantage point.
