Expect to see black-and-white striped shoe sellers appear later this year at American footwear brand Foot Locker’s first shop in Bangkok.

While the exact date was not yet known, our editorial chums at BK got wind from a Siam Center source that the shop will open in September, and Foot Locker Thailand is already hiring

Foot Locker is a world-famous brand that will be stocking international and a few Thai brands. The brick-and-mortar store, which traces its origins to late-1800s five-and-dime retailer Woolworth, will also be slinging footwear online.

For sneakerheads, this is a big deal; Foot Locker brings all the big brands. It was originally announced that the venture would be a collaboration between Foot Locker and distributor MAPI (MAP Active Adiperkasa Ltd.). If that proves true, it would mean shoppers can expect Adidas, Airwalk, Dr. Martens, and Nine West in addition to choice Jordans and limited edition colors and styles. It’s a good time to be a sneaker-lover in Bangkok. Nike opened its largest ever flagship store in December at CentralwOrld.

A version of this story originally appeared in BK Magazine.
