Cinderella
Another live-action remake of the classic Disney fairytale? Same story. Same characters. Same everything. Let’s hope it’s not as disappointing as “Maleficent.”
Run All Night
Liam Neeson plays a ex-hitman for the mafia and maintains a close relationship with the mob boss (Ed Harris). The former hitman faces a dilemma when said mob boss puts a hit on his son, compelling him to go up against his former boss to protect his own son at all costs. Seems like one of those brainless action movies we go watch anyway just because Liam Neeson is in it. (See: Taken 1-X)
PK
From Bollywood film comes this tale of a goofy man who does things out of the ordinary and makes people realize the world doesn’t have to be as serious as it is. He meets a woman who is worlds apart from him and they fall in love, making this movie a romantic-comedy as opposed to an action-romance, the two types of films made in Mumbai.
Everly
Similar to Run All Night, this movie ALSO involves a mob boss. Everly (Selma Hayek) is confronted by said mob boss who also happens to be her ex-boyfriend. He seems to be pissed off about something because he sends a lot of assassins and mobsters to try to kill her.
Superfast!
From the same people who made “Scary Movie” comes another parody movie, but this time aimed at the Fast and the Furious franchise. Filled with tons of cheesy jokes and lame humor, this movie looks a sure-win formula for disappointment. Probably worth skipping.
