One of the branches of a 24-hour gym popular with expats and locals will close at the end of this month due to its contract expiring.
Every member of the Fitness24Seven at Phra Khanong’s Summer Hill community mall received a text this morning that the branch is due to close by Sept. 30—so they will need to get their sweat sessions in somewhere else.
During a Friday morning call to the venue, staff said the lease with the current landlord is expiring and apparently no renewal could be negotiated.
Fret not, if you are registered at the Summer Hill location and want to continue your Fitness24Seven membership, you can notify the staff at the counter by Sept. 25 and receive a 50% discount for the next three months at THB650 per month. You will have to haul your stuff to a new location elsewhere though.
Fitness24Seven, like its name implies, has become extremely popular among both locals and expats thanks to its 24-7 opening hours and affordable monthly rates.
There are still multiple Fitness24Seven branches around the city, although people living in Phra Khanong will need to commute a bit further into the city: Nana, On Nut, Phahon Yothin, Sathorn Nuea, Lat Phrao, and Samut Prakan.
