Fast Fashion: ‘Pomelo’ delivers new flash for your closet on the back of a Vespa

Cutout leather skirts, military crop shirts, and backless tees – these might not be the kind of wardrobe mom would pick out for her little angel, but it doesn’t matter because Pomelo aims to serve the girls who dare to dress up.

Pomelo, a new online fashion brand, takes fast fashion to another level by delivering orders to Bangkokians via Vespas in a record breaking three hours. On top of same day delivery, the new brand offers 365-day returns – another first for the Asian fashion industry.

Just like the Bangkok version of Motel Rocks and Wasteland, Pomelo shortens your time of browsing through products by selling only the “it” items from Japan, Korea, and Hong Kong that hipster girls will love, so forget the boring black slacks, because you’re more likely to find leather short shorts on the site.

“Our customers are looking for more fashion choices beyond Siam Square and Paragon. The only thing that might hold people back from buying online is long waits to finally wear the clothes and the risk they’ll end up with something different than expected. We’ve eliminated those worries, which explains our repeat purchases and customer loyalty,” explains Founder David Jou.

Pomelo is inspired by the success of major street fashion retailers and hopes to carve out its fanbase with stylish, affordable fast fashion and then keep it fresh with new pieces every week.
