Note: Event has been postponed due to lack of alcohol.

If Feb. 14 strikes fear or loathing in your heart, don’t despair. This Valentine’s Day, Ekkamai’s newest weird and wonderful event space Maison Rouge will transform into “Heartbreak Land.”

Flying in the face of candlelit dinners and consumerism, this anti-Valentine’s event encourages people to release their pent up emotions and mend their broken hearts with three floors of interactive experiences thematically united by peak TV comedy.

First, enter “The Bad Place,” where everyone is invited to smash stuff with a weapon of choice, scream their hearts out in a soundproof box, smack a punching bag, and then have a nice cry.

After releasing all that pent-up anger, head upstairs to “The Medium Place” for some talk-therapy with venue owner Madame Rouge and some comforting Chinese takeaway from the adjacent Happy Bar, all set to upbeat house and disco jams.

By then, you’ll be ready to ascend to “The Good Place,” where teddy bear-hugs and tarot cards await, along with a pit where you can burn old love letters in the ultimate ritual of moving forward.

Entry is free and open to all. Note that it may be postponed if the alcohol ban remains in place. Stay tuned to the Facebook event for updates.

Maison Rouge is entered from the third floor of the Park Avenue complex between sois Ekkamai 14 and 16. It’s best reached from BTS Ekkamai.
