American action hero Steven Seagal has announced that he plans to shoot at least two movies in Thailand.
The star of “Under Siege”, “On Deadly Ground” and numerous other action-tastic movies also wants to launch a production company in the country.
Seagal last week visited the parliament building in Bangkok and held meetings with members of the National Reform Steering Assembly (NRSA).
Seagal did not provide details of the company or the planned movies, though he hinted that they would each use different locations and feature muay Thai, reported Variety.
He previously shot “Belly of the Beast” in Thailand in 2003. The movie starred actress Sara Malakul Lane as Seagal’s tormented kidnapped daughter.
NRSA vice-president Alongkorn Ponlaboot, who led the delegation that met Seagal, said foreign films shot in Thailand could promote the country’s image and boost its film industry, economy and tourism.
