Oct 6: Get a Good View
Kyle Falconer, the frontman from UK heavyweight band The View, performs as part of his tour for solo album No Thank You, which is described as poppy, expressive, and gravelly. Take the opportunity to see the famed frontman in a small, intimate venue in Lad Prao.

Oct 11: Go Slowly

Enigmatic, masked dance music producer Slow Magic performs at RCA’s NOMA bar bringing his unusual blend of modern electric pop. He’s touring in support of his new album, Float, which mixes “darkness and light, aggression and gentleness, ecstasy and reflection.”

Oct 28: Stay with Him

Pop singer Sam Smith makes an appearance in Bangkok in support of his new album, The Thrill of It All. Known for songs like “Stay With Me,” “I’m Not the Only One,” and “Lay Me Down,” the singer is sure to fill the stadium-sized arena.

Oct 31: Not Exactly Young, Dumb, & Broke

Modern R&B singer Khalid, known for songs like Young, Dumb, & Broke, OTW, and Love Lies, brings his show to GMM Live House to close out the month. Sure to be a great night for dancing, yelling, and singing along to all your favorite songs

Oct 18: Sip and Sway
Sathorn’s Revolucion Cocktail is offering two events in one night: an old school hip hop dance night and the introduction of their new cocktail menu. Stop in have a dance and try all their new sips for THB200 on this introductory evening.

Oct 27: Get Trashed with Trasher

Bangkok party organizers Trasher are back with another night of weird pop culture-referencing fun. This installment, called Halloween Bitchyland, promises a night of pop music faves from Beyonce, Rihanna, Britney Spears, Ariana Grande, Cardi B, and Nicki Minaj. Come in costume, cause you know the Trasher crew will!

Oct 4: Check out European Photography

Wandering in Portugal is the new street art photography exhibition by Portuguese photographer Rui Palha, who has been devoting time of street shooting since 2001. The artist said, “Probably to show the passion and respect I have for both people and photography, I tell myself there is something of a sociological goal to my work on the streets. In the photographic world I live in, people and their uniqueness are the most important elements.”

Oct 12: Ponder the Flesh

The folks at Maison Close have another unusual art show: Flesh Intolerance by the artist Death Orgone. This one reimagines evolution and the human body, through manipulation of vintage medical textbooks and encyclopedias, using collage as a medium.

oct 20: Bliss Out on Art

Two popular artists: Olga Volodina and Kannika Jansuwan team up for an exhibition called Beyond Bliss: Ecstasy of Truth at Sathorn 11 Art Space. Volodina’s photos and Jansuwan’s oil paintings both touch on the human body and human nature themes.

Oct 1: Think you’re smart?
Test your knowledge at this Trivia Night at Ari’s Dice Cafe. It promises lots of fresh questions to test your own smarts and also make fun of your friends shortcomings. This trivia night is played by teams of four, but the organizers can pair you up is back with loads of new and fun questions to test your knowledge. Come on your own or in a group and join the fun. We will have groups of four playing and please bring your mobile phone charged and ready to go for some of the rounds.

Oct 5-8 Feel The Beat

International DJs and professional dancers will descend on Bangkok to lead the Kizobasa 2018 Afro-Latin Festival. Offering 40 hours of Workshop choices over 3 days, the fest includes kizomba, zouk, bachata, and salsa with shows and parties with social dancing each night after the classes.
They will also be heading some special workshops on Cuban Salsa with teachers being flown in from Cuba.

Oct 7: Make a Run for It

The Muang Thai Marathon will give long-distance runners the opportunity to run across the scenic Rama 8 Bridge. Think you can’t handle the full version? Sign up for the 5, 10, or 21K options until your training regime is up to running the full distance.

Oct 14: Writing & Riding the Green Lung
Join a bunch of like-minded folks and head over to Bang Krachao for The Spoken Word Exchange. Enjoy the lush, rural enclave in the city affectionately known as the “green lung.” Ride bikes and take part in workshops on spoken word, mindfulness, writing, and performance. The day of culture and community is meant to stimulate your mind, your body, and your soul as you spend the day exploring one of Bangkok’s most unique districts.

Oct 27: Got Some Moves?
Bring them to this dance competition, So You Think You Can Jazz?, at Bangkok’s swing dance club, The Hop. Watch as thirteen teams perform choreography they’ve practiced hard at that will include Lindy Hop, Blues, Tap, and Balboa. Afterwards, try out your own moves on the social dance floor.

Oct 10-11: Innovative Veggie Pop-up dinner

To tie in with the month’s Buddhist Jeh festival,
