English pop songster Ed Sheeran will return to Bangkok on April 28, promoter BEC-Tero announced this morning, and he’ll be appearing in a much larger venue.

Sheeran, who’s loved for his music (but not so much for his cameo in Game of Thrones last year), will join a list of artists such as Coldplay and Lady Gaga, who have performed at Rajamangala, Bangkok’s largest sports stadium, which holds 49,000 people.

Last year, Sheeran’s concert at Impact Arena, an indoor venue that holds about 11,000, was sold out within minutes.

In a video message released by BEC-Tero, the pop star expressed his excitement and sent his love to fans in Bangkok.

Tickets start from THB2,000 (about US$60) and will go on sale Dec. 1.

Sheeran will also be making stops in Seoul and our Coconuts sister city Singapore during the Asian leg of his tour.
