If you like it a little dark and gnarly, head to Dark Bar tomorrow night for a farewell set from DJ Logan Bay.
“Paradox” promises shades of goth, pulses of new wave, spikes of punk and other weirdness in a fuck-it-gonna-finally-play-what-I-want set by Bay, who is leaving Bangkok after spinning the years away at many of its nightlife institutions.
“Don your cloaks as we cross the river Styx, and bring a coin for Charon!” he suggested for the free, cloak-optional event.
Bay said to expect pre-90s Depeche Mode, Talking Heads, New Wave, Siouxsie and the Banshees, “weird disco and vintage electronic and weirdness” with possible appearances by the likes of Misfits, Buzzcocks, Revolting Cocks or Gang of Four.
Hungry to hear some hip-hop, Bruno Mars or EDM? Then please go somewhere else.
On the walls expect scenes of the occult and surreal from Kenneth Anger films being projected.
The party starts at 9pm at Dark Bar on Soi Ekkamai 10 and entry is free.
