British band Coldplay added a second date for Bangkok last night after tickets for the first sold out fast.
Bangkok now has one-third the number of Coldplay shows as Singapore, where the band added four shows for a total of six. The group’s second gig will be on Feb. 4, a Sunday, at Rajamangala National Stadium, one day after their first show.
Tickets will go on sale at 10am on June 30 via Thai Ticket Major. Seats at the Music of the Spheres World Tour concert range from THB1,800 to THB7,800. Standing room-only pit tickets are THB5,800.
VIP Packages begin at THB12,300. The biggest, at THB28,300, comes with a dedicated venue entrance, a premium seat, backstage tour, stage photo op, and custom merch.
Coldplay, consisting of lead vocalist Chris Martin, guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman, and drummer Will Champion, has garnered a massive global following since their formation in 1996.
The concert supports Coldplay’s 2021 release Music of the Spheres.
While two days at Coldplay is plenty to hear them belt classic bangers such as Fix You, Yellow, and Viva La Vida, it’s not even close to Singapore where the band will play six shows at the National Stadium between Jan. 23 through Jan. 27.
