May is shaping up to be a fantastic month for Bangkok’s audiophiles. Not only are American indie-popsters YACHT stopping by the city, but we also have the propulsive folk of the Dodos and the persnickety turntable work of DJ Major Taylor to look forward to.
Based out of Chicago, Major Taylor has brought his crackpot sense of humor and penchant for hard funk to parties the world over. Born of Philadelphia’s infamously fertile electronic music scene, he has gone on to do everything from scoring independent films to fronting a “dub infused post-punk band.”
