Check out Burmese cinema with 17 short films to screen at Reading Room

The Reading Room will host a two-day screening of new and old films, many selected from Myanmar’s first film festival.

Filmmaker and critic Myat Noe will present 17 films at “Mini Wathann Filmfest: Introducing Films” this Saturday and Sunday at the library located in the lower Silom area.

The films were selected from the Yangon’s Wathann Filmfest, which focuses exclusively on Myanmar cinema and was started four years ago by Myanmar filmmaker couple Thuthu Shein and Thaiddhi.

The full schedule and details are available online.
