Now’s a good time to let your inner bibliophile live his or her best life: Two venues in Bangkok are currently throwing massive book sales.

Let’s get straight to the deets!

Housing over 20,000 English-language books, the historic Neilson Hays Library will be hosting its bi-annual book sale next week. The titles on sale will be available in all genres and will start at only THB20 per copy.

Avid readers and known book hoarders are also welcome to contribute books that they have finished or no longer want to the library so that they can be added to the sale stock. The proceeds from these secondhand book sales will go to the venue’s maintenance and event programming.

The sale event itself will run from 9:30am until 4pm on May 25 and May 26. Neilson Hays Library, founded in 1869, is housed inside an elegant neo-classical building located on Surawong Road. The nearest skytrain station is BTS Chong Nonsi.

Regarded by many Bangkok book lovers as a literary treasure hidden within the busy folds of Sukhumvit Road, secondhand bookstore Dasa Book Cafe will celebrate its 15th anniversary with a sale that’s running until the end of the month.

The shop is offering a 20 percent discount off more than 18,000 books in its collection. Used, rare, and out-of-print covers will also be available, in English and other European languages.

A complete list of their books can be downloaded here. The book sale is running now until May 31.

Dasa Book Cafe was founded in 2004 by Donald Gilliland and Kaweewut Wuttiwipoo. The bookstore opens from 10am until 8pm every day and sits between Soi Sukhumvit 26 and Soi Sukhumvit 28. The best way to get there is from BTS Phrom Phong, which is just a few minutes walk away.
