Central Westgate has just opened in August, and the mega mall corp cares enough to open another Central Eastville to make sure we all have access to a shopping mall.
The new CentralFestival Eastville, located on Ramintra expressway, will open tomorrow under the ironic concept of “Bangkok Escape,” where people can hide from the big city’s chaos by shopping at 200 retail stores and eating at 100 restaurants.
The 29th shopping mall by the mega company Central Pattana was built over 160,00 sqm. space with a budget of THB6 billion. CentralFestival Eastville is expected to support the development of Eastern Bangkok with a future monorail train located right in front of the mall.
As the groans and complaints for more green space from expats continue to echo, CentralFestival Eastville provides a green space with “Sky Run,” a rooftop running track that opens at 6am, and “Pet Park” for animal lovers to spend quality time with their pooches.
If that’s not enough, several (real) trees are put around the mall as decorations to go with a 9-meter-tall giraffe sculpture, a focal point of the venue.
For those who’d rather both get up and stay up late, there’s the “Bar & Bistro” area which opens until 12am. The mall aims to serve the urban lifestyle of Bangkokians, as inspired by London’s Covent Garden and New York City’s Meatpacking District.
