Whether you’re an avid football fan or not, there’s no denying the obvious: World Cup season is upon us. That’s right, the 2022 World Cup, which takes place in Qatar this year, will commence on November 20, with Ecuador and Qatar (literally) kicking it off. The big finale will air on December 18.
And truly, where else would you want to watch the World Cup than at Bangkok’s newest sports bar? Located inside Topgolf Megacity, Bangkok’s latest sports and entertainment venue, the two-story Topgolf Sports Bar will be showing several World Cup games on its central 550-inch (7 m x 4 m) screen and the 15 HDTVs across the two 13-meter-long bar counters. With a main screen that big, it’s basically like you’re watching the action live in the stadium! Speaking of stadiums, no football game is complete without good food and drinks, which Topgolf also has covered. Pick from the 10 beers on tap, along with good old-fashioned hearty American classics like burgers and hotdogs, to keep you energized as you cheer on your favorite team of the night.
Oh, and did we mention that on every match day, the first round of drinks will be on the house?
But any ol’ sports bar could simply show the games, so Topgolf is adding a fun little twist to set the mood and pump up the atmosphere on the first day by rolling out a FIFA game tournament. 16 top gamers will be duking it out with one another in an elimination-style tournament while the rest of the Topgolf Sports cheers them on and a professional FIFA gamer provides live commentary. It’ll all kick off at 6pm on Nov. 20, followed by (obviously) the Ecuador vs Qatar match (which begins at 11pm).
And lastly, because watching football is stressful enough and we’re all about making your lives easier, here is the full World Cup schedule already converted into Bangkok time:
