Tom Jones was forced to cancel his Bangkok concert tomorrow due to a “serious illness in his immediate family,” organizer BEC-Tero confirmed yesterday.
The 75-year-old Welsh singer, who was scheduled to perform at CentralWorld tomorrow, abruptly cancelled the performance and apologized to disappointed fans.
“He extends his deepest apologies to both the fans and organizers, who he is most sad to disappoint. There are no further details at this time,” said the statement.
The singer had to cancel the entire Asian leg of his tour; which included Bangkok, Manila, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Osaka, Seoul and Abu Dhabi.
Mystery surrounds the identity of the ill family member. There has been speculation that it may have been his wife Linda, who has battled with depression.
However, his management has ruled her out as the ill family member, according to the Mirror.
Fans who have already purchased tickets can obtain a refund at all ThaiTicketMajor branches.
