Garage punk provocateurs Black Lips will shred through Bangkok next month.

The five-member group will perform March 18 at De Commune, courtesy of concert organizer Have You Heard?

Formed in 1999, the Atlanta-based psychedelic band rose to infamy in their early days for their outrageous stage antics including vomiting, urinating, getting naked, and setting off fireworks. They were inspired by the likes of hardcore punk performance artist GG Allin before they, in their words, “matured a little bit.”

So the live show is unlikely to include any such hardcore shenanigans.

Also announced was Thai post-rock band Dara Rasmi, which will fluff the crowd.

The group released its 10th studio album, Apocalypse Love, in October.

Advance tickets go on sale tomorrow for THB1,300 then go up to THB1,500 at a later date.
