Black humor comics: Solo exhibition by Joan Cornellà

The internet has been fascinated and appalled by his black humorous comic strips, and in March, Bangkokians will have a chance to take a closer look at Joan Cornellà’s unsettling works.

The Barcelona-born illustrator is famous for his six-panel comic strips that play with disturbing, often grotesque themes. His characters always maintain the iconic smiling face despite the violent situations they are in. The no-dialogue comics are open for interpretation. They could be about anything, all in colorful and surrealistic cartoon form.

HAVE YOU HEARD! and Factotum Productions co-host the solo exhibition at Future Factory Bangkok. Visitors can find his illustrations on display and purchase books and t-shirts. Joan himself will be signing copies of his new books and other merch at the event.

Admission fee is THB200. Note that the exhibition contains adult themes and children under 16 must be accompanied by parents.
