Bangkok’s Big Bad Wolf book sale hits downtown next week

Normally, you’ve got to travel to the likes of Nonthaburi for a taste of these sweet, sweet book deals, but this time Bangkok’s biggest, baddest book sale is coming to The Market at Ratchaprasong.

Marketed as Big Bad Wolf in the City this round, it’s a big deal for bibliophiles. The event will feature a selection of international and domestic titles with discounts of up to 95%. The event will take place 10am to midnight, Aug. 4 to Aug. 15 from. Last year, the event boasted more than a million Thai- and English-language books.

Last year saw a number of book signings, as well as fun deals like one patron who walked away with a trolly full of 103 books for free.

The Phuket iteration of Big Bad Wolf Book Sale wrapped up in June at the Floresta Mini Convention Hall, and the Bangkok event this year is easily accessible in downtown at The Market shopping mall rather than a large convention center on the outskirts.

Big Bad Wolf Books was launched in in 2009 in Kuala Lumpur, and is billed as the World’s Biggest Book Sale. Their work has spread to 36 cities in 15 countries, and the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale most recently happened in Bangkok in April.
