You can take the girl out of the country, but you can’t take the likay out of her moves.
A year after making her Bollywood debut, former Thai country star Ann Mitchai released her first music video fully produced in India last week though it keeps to the performer’s likay roots.
A jeweled head piece and updated traditional outfit are featured in Ann “Live My Life My Way” music video. Ann left the likay stage and her luk thung career behind years ago to pursue a career in Bollywood.
After landing a role in the movie “Ishk Actually,” which made her a big celebirty in India, the 40-year-old now earns THB30 million per show as an Indian pop princess and is signed to Universal Music. Not bad.
