Ladytron DJ set at Badmotel
Ladytron, originally a British band, now (apparently) a solo DJ act, have set various standards of cool throughout Britain and the United States since their 1998 formation. This DJ set from Rueben Wu, originally the group’s synthesizer-ist, should offer plenty of New Wave gems to help set a mood of appropriately louche abandon.

Inner Soul at Koi Art Gallery
Thai artist Attasit Pokpong’s distinctive style has led her to create the fascinating series of portraits on display in “Inner Soul.” Purporting to study the “beauty of Asian women,” the series features many of Attasit’s signature stylistic flourishes, the whole of which have combined to create an incredibly distinct take on portraiture.

Reversed Opening Party at Bed Supperclub
Reversed, a collaboration between Bed Supperclub and Pilates Station, will festoon the infamous, Bangkok nightspot with aerial performers. Practitioners of Yoga Fly, a discipline developed by Bangkok yoga teacher Patricia Duchaussoy, will stage a performance that brings in elements of contortion, dance and, of course, yoga. Though this show will be going on all month at Bed, an opening party is taking place tonight in the club’s White Room.

Saturday
Dance artist Pichet Klunchun at Chang Theatre
Dubbed the “punk rocker of Thai dance,” Pichet Klunchun has managed to turn traditional, Thai performance into something modern, vital and more than a bit controversial. Internationally lauded and a lightning rod for criticism within the Kingdom, Pichet will be performing “I Am a Demon” this weekend for the first time in Thailand since it debuted here seven years ago.
