Snoop Dogg held a press conference today, in advance of his headlining performance tonight at Together Festival, during which he revealed that (contrary to the evidence) he has maintained a busy schedule during his time in the Kingdom.
Not only has Snoop been recording music with (as of yet unnamed) Thai producers, he also said that he had filmed a music video with Rita Ora during his recent stopover in Phuket.
Pressing questions as to whether or not Snoop has shed the weathered husk of his “Dogg” surnamed for the newfangled mantle of “Snoop Lion” went largely unanswered, though Snoop insisted that this March’s Reincarnated documentary would help clear things up. For what it’s worth, he came to the press conference clad in a hat that featured the colors of the Jamaican flag, though he was introduced at the event as “Snoop Dogg.”
Journalists presented their questions to Snoop through a translator, an arrangement Snoop himself was apparently unaware of, since he paused the conference at one point to ask of the translator, “Why you the only one asking motherfucking questions?”
Snoop gave a generally positive account of his time in Thailand, saying that he hadn’t gotten a chance to sample Bangkok’s street food, though he had snuck in some shopping.
Before leaving, Snoop answered a question about whether or not this was his first time in Thailand. “This is my first time coming to Thailand in general,” he said. “But it won’t be my last time.”
