Trasher is better known for throwing massive indie dress-up parties, but their viral videos are getting so much buzz that the celebs they are parodying are re-tweeting them.
First, Perez Hilton blogged about their rendition of Rihanna’s “We Found Love.” Since then, they’ve gotten almost 700,000 views.
Then, Katy Perry tweeted Trasher’s parody of “The One That Got Away,” saying, “this is a bold statement. But if you haven’t seen this, you haven’t lived.”
Trasher’s latest video is a parody of Madonna’s “Give Me All Your Lovin’”, featuring a machine-gunning Lady Gaga 1:30 into the video. There’s a Girls Gone Wild bonus at the end of the video. Be warned, it is shocking (which is saying a lot).
Both Madonna’s Manager Guy O’Seary and Megaforce, the production company responsible for the original version shared the video.
Furthermore, Trasher and Finlandia Vodka are answering Madonna fan prayers by throwing a huge tribute party on April 28. You don’t have to dress up, but expect that everyone there will be dolled up in wacky, Madonna-inspired attire and dancing wildly to her music, past and present.
