The band, whose name translates to “Fun Sex” in Japanese, brings ephemeral guitar melodies draped with lead singer Yuki Chikudate’s soft yet edgy, synthesized vocals. Ms. Chikudate was born in Japan, but grew up in California and left her family for life in New York City at the tender age of 16. Their most recent album, Fluorescence, was released last year however their 2006 album, Citrus, climbed the British Indie Chart. Come and be mesmerized.
The show will be at the freshly opened venue Sonic on Ekkamai Soi 9 on Wednesday, May 9. Tickets are THB800 in advance (available at BJ Siam nest to Hard Rock Cafe) and THB1000 at the door.
