Berlin Beats is a showcase of what’s hailed by the electronic world as Europe’s most down-and-dirty club scene. Berlin, known for its offbeat counter culture and distinct sound, is the kind of place you leave kicking and screaming.
That’s why DJs Felix Moreno and Jaydubb decided to bring this passionate party city right here to Bangkok. They originally put together the first party as a one-off this summer. It was an overwhelming success, packing Glow Nightclub to the point of locking its doors.
Now, Berlin Beats will be a regular installation in Bangkok’s underground. The first party “Berlin Calling” is set to happen this Friday night. The name harks back to a popular film about the German capital’s club scene, starring international DJ phenomena Paul Kalkbrenner.
Moreno and Jaydubb are born-and-bred schnitzels from Stuttgart and Münster respectively with a heavy reputation in Bangkok’s club scene. These are the men behind Disco Robot and the infamous after-hour parties at Black Pagoda in Patpong. Also joining them on the decks will be guest DJ Mr Tomcat, the same German talent who worked the dance floor into a frenzy at the first Berlin Beats. In fact, Tomcat is flying in from Berlin just for this event.
“Berlin Beats presents Berlin Calling” is this Friday night. Entry is THB250 plus one drink.
