The THB200 million Disney100 Village project has finally opened at Asiatique to offer glimpses of Mickey and Minnie magic, from Frozen and Star Wars to Marvel’s cinematic universe — now through July 31.

The Disney100 Village takes visitors on a journey through over 100 years of the Walt Disney Co.’s memorable characters. Some areas can be visited for free, such as the Disney100 Express Train which showcases an array of Disney characters around the clock towers and booth area. At the entrance, three-meter statues of Minnie and Mickey Mouse greet visitors in traditional Thai attire.

Another free attraction is the Star Wars Experience, which features a gigantic TIE Fighter, AT-M6 assault walkers, and a flight simulator area.

In case you want out of the summer heat, buy a ticket and head to paid zones such as the Marvel Universe, a comprehensive Marvel experience featuring comic books, popular characters, and interactive experiences; try out Thor’s hammer or open a sling ring portal with Doctor Strange.

The a Frozen Exhibition, inspired by classic scenes from both Frozen films, uses interactive, augmented reality technology and life-sized statues of fan-favorite characters.

Tickets start at THB1,419 for adults and THB1,279 for children and students on weekdays, going up to THB1,719 and THB1,549 on weekends.

The venue is located inside Asiatique the Riverfront on Charoen Krung Road. It’s open 10am until midnight every day.

News about the Disney project came last year when Asset World Corp. announced a partnership with The Walt Disney Co. to bring some Disney magic to the riverside shopping mall.
