Silom Road was clogged by fans who turned out to see rock has-beens bring the legend of Nuvo back to life yesterday evening.
Joe, Kong and John, the lead singers and former national heartthrobs of the ‘90s, drew a large crowd of 30-something Thais in front of the United Center building yesterday when they hosted a spontaneous, free concert.
“Announcement! Tomorrow, the second day of the second month, is a good day for Nuvo to return happiness to our fans,” Joe announced Monday. “Just show up at United Center at 5pm. Free show. No conditions. No fuss. We’ll just set up, plug in, and play!”
And of course, Thais assembled because since when was the last time we saw all of Nuvo together?
While Nuvo had six members, nobody really cares about the rest of them … just Joe, Kong and John.
Joe and Kong ended up judges on reality shows Thailand’s Got Talent and The Voice Thailand respectively while John has a TV show “Lighthouse Family,” which follows his life as a dad together with his camera-shy teen.
