5 reasons Queen + Adam Lambert live in Bangkok will be part of rock history

PRESENTED BY

Slap on a skintight pantsuit and tease your hair up nice and curly. It’s time to celebrate some of the world’s most legendary rock ballads with Queen + Adam Lambert live in Bangkok.

If you haven’t already stampeded Thai Ticket Major, both physically and online, for tickets to this epic show, we’re pretty sure you’ll be convinced to do just that by the end of this article. On that note, here are all the reasons why you just can’t miss this history-making concert.

A crazy little thing called Adam Lambert’s voice

The enigmatic Freddie Mercury is the man behind Queen’s epic rock songs. Although his rock n’ roll soul lives on forever in his music, Freddie sadly passed away from complications of AIDS in 1991. Now, Queen fans around the world can rejoice as the torch of lead vocals is passed to Adam Lambert. Indeed, music critics everywhere agree that Adam’s vocal ability does Freddie proud.

The Grammy nominated singer teamed up with Brian May and Roger Taylor, original members of Queen, as a contestant on American Idol. Together, the Season 8 finalists and the rock legends performed “We Are The Champions”. Adam came in second that season (to Kris Allen, and no we don’t remember him either) but the bond he formed with the members of Queen was a winner.

Now Adam’s powerful voice pays a pitch perfect tribute to Freddie Mercury every time he takes the stage with Queen. Together they performed at the 2011 MTV European Music Awards, sold out live concerts across Europe and rocked out with half a million people in Kiev. Now they’re touring Asia together for the first time, starting with Bangkok, Tokyo and Singapore.

The show already won hearts (and awards) all around the world

We don’t like to miss out on anything here in Bangkok. If other cities have it, we want it. And if it’s hyped as hell, we love it. But this is no empty hype, these are rock n’ roll legends. So it’s no surprise that Bangkokians are beyond excited.

Queen + Adam Lambert already won Band of the Year at the 10th annual Classic Rock Roll of Honour awards and were voted Best Live Band of the Year in Ultimate Classic Rock’s reader’s poll in 2014.

In 2015 they toured 10 countries across Europe rocking 26 sold-out concerts in the UK, France, Austria, Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Denmark, Switzerland, the Czech Republic and Poland.

It’s gonna be a sight to behold

Like all great performers, these guys up the ante each year. For the 2016 tour you can expect cutting edge innovations in each and every element of production design, from the stage to the mesmerizing light and laser displays.

You’ll even get to experience the world’s most powerful smoke machine setting the mood on stage – there are only two in the world! We hear this machine can fill six full size tennis courts with one metre of smoke in 60 seconds. Impact Arena, you sure you’re ready for this?!

Queen songs are the BEST!

Queen has been making our radios go ga ga for over four decades. Yes, these enduring songs take us back, way back; through the era of CDs, mix tapes, and even vinyl. And yet, come Friday night, these classics are still a huge hit on any hipster or mainstream dancefloor. Now that you have the chance, don’t you think ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’, ‘Under Pressure’ and ‘Another One Bites the Dust’ deserve to be heard live?

Yep, we thought so.

And as unique as you might think artists like Katy Perry and Lady Gaga are (now do you get where her name came from?), they wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for Freddie Mercury. Queen’s influence on the music world is practically unparalleled. The group holds the MTV Global Icon Award and has two songs enshrined in the Grammy Hall of Fame. Now the legacy created by Freddie and the original band lives on through Brian May, Roger Taylor and Adam Lambert.

It’s the first time Queen is in Thailand

Whether you’re of the American Idol generation or the arena rock generation of the 70s and 80s (or anything in between) you’re going to want to be part of rock n’ roll history at Queen’s first concert on Thai soil.

So get your tickets for Queen + Adam Lambert On Tour 2016 online, at any Thai Ticket Major booth, or by calling 02-262-3838 and don’t miss history being made on the stage of Impact Arena, Muang Thong Thani, on 30 September 2016. Tickets start at THB2,000.
