Is your garage full of junk you haven’t touched in three years? This can easily happen in Bangkok where yard sales are not a common practice, and you don’t want to drive to a second-hand market where you have to battle against the regulars for space.
And so the old and un-used goods piles and piles and piles up in your house.
Whether it’s your old electronics, last-season clothes, or books that you desperately want to get rid of, these organizations can turn them into treasures to help underprivileged people. Take notes, folks: Here are four great places to donate your old stuff in Bangkok.
1. Mirror Foundation
Mirror Foundation gives away the goods to schools, communities, and charities. They accept non-damaged clothing, books, electronics, and furniture, so basically everything.
At the moment, Mirror Foundation is especially in need of clothes for their “Fashion Journey” campaign, which they will give away to thirteen homeless shelters on Sept. 15.
Where to drop off: Mirror Foundation, 191 Vibhavadi soi 62, Bangkhen, Laksri, Bangkok 10210

3. Thai Red Cross Society
The Thai Red Cross Society is the major humanitarian organization in Thailand, providing aid and relief services in times of war and disaster. It also offers public health promotion services in remote areas. The Red Cross mobilized massive volunteer donation and rescue efforts during the 2011 Thailand floods.
You can donate your clothes and accessories at their charity shop where they will be sold to raise money.

4. Rajvithi Home for Girls
Rajvithi is a foster home for 400 girls from five to eighteen years of age. Other than basic clothing, school supplies, and toys, the children would be super happy with a food feast as well. You can bring lunch and do activities with them. My advice: Bring your guitar because they are going to request a song.
