3 Songkran music festivals in Bangkok that are worth checking out this weekend

Although popular tourist destinations like Silom and Khaosan Road will be dry during Songkran celebrations for 2019, there are still a few festive events good for revelers looking to get wet (and maybe a little wild) on the agenda this year.

Here are some of our picks. 

 

S2O Songkran Music FestivalApril 13—15 at Live Park Rama 9

For three days, an outdoor space out on Rama IX Road will see music talents play to crowds, live — performers like English dance music icon Fatboy Slim, Dutch DJ Tiesto, and American electronic house DJ Steve Aoki will be hitting the stages.

The event will run from April 13 through April 15 at Live Park Rama 9. Tickets are available online.

 

Atlantis Water Festival, April 12—15 at RCA

Bangkok’s entertainment district RCA will celebrate Songkran with a four-day, fun-filled festival featuring performers such as Dutch producer Cesqeaux, techno musician Mike Cervello from Amsterdam, and DJ Snavs from Copenhagen.

Local rapper Twopee will join the lineup. Tickets are available via LINE application.

 

Siam Songkran Music Festival, April 12—15 at Show DC Oasis Arena

Held over four days at the outdoor arena Show DC, this debut edition of Siam Songkran Music Festival will feature top-tier EDM and hardstyle artists performing across two large stages.

Dutch duo Yellow Claw and record producer Afrojack will perform live, as well as Belgium’s DJ Coone and Canadian hardstyle duo Crisis Era. Tickets are available online.
