Before you decide to book a super cheap package tour at a tourism fair, remember the old adage: you get what you pay for. Or at least hit Google to find a quick review on Pantip.

Nearly 100 Thai and foreign tourists were left without a place to sleep in Krabi after they bought a package tour and made their own ways to the popular beach town yesterday.

The tourists gathered at Krabi police station after their names were not actually booked at their desired hotels and their contacts at the travel agency suddenly stopped returning calls.

The tourists claim they bought similar travel and accommodation packages at travel exhibitions at Impact Arena and the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center earlier this year.

Wiyada Srirangkul, a local director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, came to the police station to help the tourists and said the agency’s license would be revoked and arrest warrants issued, Kapook reported.
