Leicester City to launch reality TV show to find young Thai footballers

Thai-owned Leicester City aim to capitalize on their rise up the English Premier League table with the launch of a reality television show to find young Thai footballers to join the club’s academy in England.

The show, called “GOAL”, is for U15 players and will feature Thailand coach Kiatisak Senamuang. It will be televised on Workpoint TV on Saturdays from August to October, reported Bangkok Post.

“We want to give opportunities to children to achieve their dreams,” Leicester vice-president Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha told a press conference yesterday.

Those selected will train at Leicester City Academy and study in England for two and a half years, he said.

Leicester, owned by Thailand’s duty free retailer King Power Group, are seven points clear at the top of the Premier League table with six games remaining.
